Lifecycle Events

Our lay leaders and our temple community are involved in many life cycle events.  Being a small congregation, we all come together in times of joy and times of sorrow to support one another.  This is what makes our small congregation special.

While our rabbis can perform marriages and conversion ceremonies, both rabbis and lay leaders may conduct bar and bat mitzvahs and preside over funeral services.

Weddings in the Mountains
One of our congregants chose to be married at Powderhorn, our "local" ski area 40 minutes away.  The wedding was beautiful.

B'nai Mitzvahs in the Mountains
The Colorado Monument adds to the meaningfullness of the service here in Grand Junction, where you are truly closer to G-d.  Congregants have held services anywhere from our local winery, to their own backyard or at the more traditional hotel venue.  Wherever they are held, the temple community is always invited and welcomes the invitation.

Our Cemetery

Located in Orchard Mesa Municipal Cemetery, our Congregation maintains a large number of plots for our members and their families.

An updated version of our policies and prices for our cemetary is being developed by Patti K. and her committee. It will be posted to this Web site later in September when approved. Please feel free to contact Patti at 260-5958 if you have any pressing questions or want to provide input. We are very fortunate to have a large area within the cemetary dedicated to future burial sites of Jewish loved ones in Grand Junction and surrounding towns.
