Family Time: Preparing for Hebrew School

To make your family's learning time together even more enriching, Rabbi Bogage has some excellent suggestions for preparation that parents can undertake, in advance of Saturday.

Discuss and/or read to your children about upcoming holidays, featured hereos and relevant history. There are excellent books in the synagogue's library if you would like to check them out. Look to this section for additional suggestions from the Rabbi as his/her next visit approaches.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Class

As their special day approaches, our Bar/Bat Mitzvah students meet with Miriam once a week.  When the Rabbi and our Scholar-in-Residence are visiting, the kids try to get together with them for some interesting thought provoking sessions.

To learn more about becomming a b'nai mitzvot, contact the Synagogue!

Monthly Shabbat Potluck Dinner

Future Shabbat dinners will typically be held on Friday's when the Rabbi is not in town. Look for information on the next dinner or

 email www.ohrshalomgj.com .

Never Too Young

Although we don't have a formal pre-school, the temple library is a great place to find reading materials to stay occupied during adult Shabbat services.

As Marcus knows, its never too early to learn your Aleph Bet.
