We have a number of educational programs in place. From Hebrew school to Adult Education and pre-school family get-togethers. Our library is extensive and inviting to all.
Hebrew School
The religious school at Congregation Ohr Shalom educates children through Bat and Bar Mitzvah in Hebrew, prayer and song, customs and values, history, culture, ethics and holidays.
With an exciting group of kids for the 2008-2009 year, check out what's happening.
PJ's Library
Looking for a way to nurture the parent-child bond and strengthen your offspring’s Jewish identity? Read them a book courtesy of PJ Library. Brought to Grand Junction by Harold Grinspoon, the visionary founder, the PJ Library — that’s right, PJ stands for pajama — provides children ages six months to seven years with a Jewish children’s book or cd every month! And, thanks to a generous grant from the Long Scholarship Fund, the first year of the program is free to the first 20 people who sign up. To sign up for PJ Library, please contact Beth Long at info@ohrshalomgj.org. For more information on this national program, go to PJ Library
